Indigenous Plants: Text

Flint Corn

In 2021, Jim gave us 300 year old corn seeds and shared his knowledge on how to properly plant, care, protect and continue the legacy of the sacred seeds.  Corn is the symbol of sustenance, the staff of life and an important symbol to many tribes.  Corn is considered a gift from The Great Spirit so it’s role is both as a food and ceremonial object.

Pollinator Garden

A Place for Pollinators

Where we provide pollen, nectar and habitat for our Native Bees and other precious pollinators such as the butterflies, hummingbirds and even bats!

We are hoping to add more indigenous plants in the coming years to add diversity and a succession of blooms and food supply for our pollinator partners.
